Use this page and the next to provision trunks and their answer points.
Although MiVoice Business supports the use of multiple SIP service providers, the wizard allows you to provision only one. You can use the System Administration Tool to add others after applying the initial configuration.
Several profiles for popular SIP service providers in the U.S, Canada, Australia , Germany and other countries are included for your use. More are available on the Software Downloads page at Mitel Online (http://portal.mitel.com).
NOTE: The Main Business Number entered on the System Parameters page is used to set up CPN substitution for SIP trunks as well BRI and PRI trunks.

An answer point is the voice mail message center, voice mail auto attendant, an extension. or other destination for incoming trunk calls. (See Trunk Attributes for valid destination).
When using an extension number, it can be an existing number on the system or a new one that you are adding with the wizard. If it's a new number, a 5020 IP device will be added to the system and provisioned with the number provided.
To configure the trunk answer point:
Select Configure Answer Point.
Select the desired answer point:
Voice Mail Message Center/Voice Mail Auto Attendant: Allows external callers to leave voice messages for other system users. It also allows users to call into the system and to access their messages. This option is available when provisioning a single MiVoice Business system only.
Voice Mail Auto-Receptionist: This option is only available for selection on platforms that have MiCollab Nupoint UM voice mail. It allows external callers to access the auto attendant and place calls to system users. Additional programming is required in the MiCollab Nupoint UM Web Console application to fully configure this option. See the MiCollab Nupoint UM Help for instructions.
Extension Number: Enter the extension number of the answer point. If the Main Business Number is provided in the System Parameters Page, then a DID will created as the Main Business Number and the associated DN will be Extension Number of the Trunk Answer Point
Select a trunk type: Non-Dial in Trunks or Dial in Trunks.
For Dial in trunks, select whether or not to include forwarding information in incoming calls that are forwarded to their final destination from another DN in the PBX.
To configure digital trunks, you must have selected the T1/E1 Combo card on the Controller Modules and Framers page.
NOTE: The digital and analog trunk configuration is not applicable for EX platform.
To configure the digital and analog trunks:
For digital trunks, select
Configure Digital Trunks.
If the check box is cleared, all field entries are ignored.
For each digital trunk type,

The number of links is dependent on the programmed

Quad BRI: maximum 4 BRI links.
Dual Framer: maximum 2 PRI links or 2 T1/D4 link (when port
interfaces are T1)
T1/E1 Combo: maximum 1 PRI link or 1 T1/D4 link (when port interface
is T1)
Select the Protocol.
For analog trunks, select

NOTES
The Embedded ASU Unit is not supported on the AX platform. The unit number read-only and is defaulted to 2 for all supported platforms.
All links of the same type are placed in the same trunk group. Each trunk group may contain a mix of trunk types— example, E1 PRI and TI PRI.
BRI and PRI links must be assigned a protocol using the System Administration Tool.
To provision Direct Inward Dialing the system takes digits received from the PSTN and modifies them, either by removing (aborbing) digits and inserting others, to form a new number corresponding to an extension, hunt group pilot number or other call destination.
NOTE: DID is available on PowerPC (PPC) platforms platforms only.
To set up digit modification for incoming calls:
Enter the number of Digits to Absorb (if any).
Enter the Digits to Insert.
